Below are some updates about the tour that were previously on the News section of this website. These updates were made while Awkward Thought was in Europe at the time:

AWKWARD THOUGHT UPDATE POLAND - A gang of Hooligans tried to attack AWKWARD THOUGHT. Rumers in Europe are already starting to fly so here is the correct story:
Outside of a bar in Belchatow Poland before the show a group of Hooligans (at least 3 of them) started to attack John for no reason after he got out of the van and walked across the street. The Hooligans were not allowed into the bar because they were troublemakers so they tried to attack the band when they arrived. To make a long story short. The Polish Hooligans got their asses kicked. Awkward Thought guitarist Dusty managed to break one of the Polish guys nose and knocked another guy out. John knocked out another Polish hooligan and smashed his face into the pavement. In the process Dusty broke his knuckle while hitting the Polish guys face. Blood from the Polish guys was everywhere. Dusty now has his hand in a soft cast but he can still play guitar even better than before. The show went on and everything is now fine. One hell of a day!!!

AWKWARD THOUGHT UPDATE ROOSENDAAL HOLLAND - The IN FOR THE KILL VI festival in Rosendaal was a great success!!! Cheers to all that were there. Rosendaal Rules!!!

IN FOR THE KILL FESTIVAL Oct 20, 2002 Roosendaal Holland.

AWKWARD THOUGHT UPDATE STUTTGART GERMANY - Great show during 120 mile per hour windstorm. All German news stations told people to stay inside due to the dangerous weather conditions but that did not stop alot of true fans for making this a GREAT show. Thanks to the DEAL FOR LIFE crew showing up and showing support. If you get a chance please check out DEAL FOR LIFE. Great oldstyle Hardcore band from Stuttgart Germany. This was the first and only time AWKWARD THOUGHT played the song "Does It Make Sense" due to a request from a true fan. So we were forced to play it twice. Cheers!!!

AWKWARD THOUGHT UPDATE BUDAPEST HUNGARY - Cheers to all the Hungarian kids who showed support. A great club filled with great people. We were coming from the Czech Republic and had to cut through Slovakia in order to get to Hungary. We almost had to turn around at the Slovakian border but the border guard finally let us through. He gave us a warning - about what I am still not sure. I think he thought the van may have been stolen. Damn that was close!!

AWKWARD THOUGHT UPDATE VIENNA AUSTRIA - One hell of a way to spend HALLOWEEN. Pizza and all the pumpkin soup and beer we wanted. This marked the first time Awkward Thought played a show in full costumes. God knows we are a serious band but some rules can be broken when abroad in Austria. Happy Halloween.
